Christmas this year was all set to go on a super lazy tempo. I would have been happy just to sleep through both the christmas eve and christmas day, but Divya had different plans.
On Christmas eve, Divya did some santa toy shopping in the guise of grocery shopping while I stayed home with the kids. After that, we all went out in the nearby neighborhood to see the christmas lighting. Thereafter, we went to multiple grocery shops, hoping to buy a christmas cake, but could not buy one. As soon as we reached home, Divya baked a quick cake at home.
Christmas day morning, Kittu got his car track gift from Santa, who had come in through the chimney he had discovered the previous evening.
Niya was immediately suspicious of an inside job and noted that the gift messages were in Divya's handwriting. I was happy to note that she had fallen out of "Santa magic". Kittu was offended by Niya's observation and said "poda kalla.. chimneyokke undu.."
Thanks to Santa, the day had started off early. So we decided to take Niya on a bike ride in nearby Coyote hills.

Niya was very patient with Kittu as he tagged along very closely.. |
|
Kittu could barely reach the pedals but managed to ride a bit without sitting on the seat.. |
It was a pretty good drive and ride and some good scenery and a bit of jogging and photography. Pretty far from the deep slumber that I had in mind.
|
Just a fun shot with the movie "Odiyan" in mind which we had recently watched.. |
|
We had forgotten to take Kittu's bike but he took turns on Niya's bike.. though too big for him to sit.. he rode without sitting.. |
|
This shot was sitting right in front of where we had parked out car.. I have been feeling the need to get back into photography for a while now.. |
After Coyote hills, we did some indian grocery shopping and bought a christmas plum cake. Cut the cake, took a photo, took a bite and that is about it.. merry christmas!
