Diwali dinner with Seraphina friends at Muralis home

  Murali invited us along with a few other neighbor families over to his home for dinner on the occasion of Diwali. The house was all dressed up with lights and decor -- inside and outside.
We had our conversations - house owner topics of backyard work, cellphone reception, internet connectivity, sound bar recommendations, and then some software conversations around Musk, cyber truck, flying cars etc. Kiran had completed his state-of-the-art backyard work, last time we had caught up, the waterfall work was pending. It was all done now. Manu kept up the life of the conversations with his inimitable energy. 

 After our catch-up conversations, we had our vegetarian dinner that Murali had arranged from Peacock restaurant in Dublin. The food was really nice. I am on a noom diet right now. I had to take multiple servings regardless. Relaxed a bit after the filling food. 

Next up, a few of the kids performed to dance songs played on TV. Murali's elder daughter, Manohar's daughter and Mani's daughter were thoroughly enjoying themselves as they browsed for next songs to dance for in youtube. Shannu pulled the wives now into the dance floor. The place was changing - it was turning into a dance floor. Sure enough, it was time for the husbands to dance as well. Manohar eased into character and danced expertly in the same style that we had seen at the Tracy Hills Clubhouse a week back. Some of us demonstrated some dance skills while the rest of us waved hands and faltered feet and marked us danced. It was nearing 11 PM by now. It was time for photoshoot. Ladies lined the garland decorated staircase, while the guys posed for a group photo on the floor.
It was a nice easy memorable catch up with friends. Thanks to Murali for hosting us.

Tracy Hills Onam 2024 - Boat story

  Boat story. We had our first meeting at the Star Cross park. Banerji's drive for a grand and impressive backdrop infused the project from that meeting. He had come in with this blue print that he and Chris had drawn out. There was a touch of grandness and an "all in"ness in everything he said I had brought in decor items from the koottu onam group that had happened a few weeks back.  Banerji did not want to use it as is, we tried to see if the happy onam circle can be be formed using the koottu decor but that was not working out and that got dropped. Vipin Vishwanathan was initially not in the decor group. I knew that he was the right person for the job as I had seen the pooja room work that is in progress at the garage.  Vipin Das, a recent thaaram to join tracy hills had ideas about printing the maveli from walmart. Dinner delay

 White spots on the dining table. Light through the patterned black doors of the oven. Timer sound. Three plates on the table.  "Kids .. time for dinner.". I call out.  Niya walks up with a beaming smile to the table in her navy blue long sleeves and jeans.  "Where is Kittu?" I ask her.  "I don't know. I thought he was downstairs" "Must be sleeping.. " I said to myself, crossed the wooden flooring on to the white carpeted steps calling .. "Kittoo.. ".  Varied inundations. Multiple calls. From the staircase landing to Niya's room. Look around the room. Back through the landing section.  Then I walk through the master bedroom .. "Kittoo.. ", then to the office room. Monitors, office chair, speakers.
