Flat 

"Dupp.." - that was roughly the sound and the car swerved to the right suddenly in Mohan Lal style. Luckily I realized right away what just happened and navigated the car to the side of the road safely as the images of the car with a burning bonnet and another overturned van that we had seen last couple of weeks on this highway played slideshow in my head. 

Called Geico insurance and got redirected to a service that would charge me one hundred twenty dollars to tow the car two miles. And on asking why, I was told that that is because I am on the highway. Ok in that case,  let me get out of the highway and I will call you back. Well, if I can get out of the highway, then I can drive on my run-flats to the tire shop. And I inched into the tire shop. 

Having reached the tire shop, I decided that I can drive fifty miles to the Fremont home to open the rental home and get the deep cleaning done which was the agenda for the day so as to return the house keys. Tire ripped wide enough to hole a python and I reached on time to have the nice timid spanish family deep clean the house. 

I would return the keys today, and I don't have the tire for the drive back. So "America's tires" installed four brand new tires before they closed for the day. 

"A darle con todo"
Wrestler build Jose was our mover with two twenty-something helpers. While both the helpers used the bathrooms in both the houses, Mr Jose's image carrying the heavy desk by himself on his back up the stairs remain. 

Empty house, full truck and a jump start
How would you put the phrases "empty house", "full truck" and a "jump start" into a single sentence? So we had an empy house, a full truck and had to use a jump start to start up the truck that wouldn't start otherwise.

Trashing thieves
Car was loaded with trash bags and the husband-wife duo scouted the shopping complex for dumpsters. That is a dark corner there and there is a dumpster. I put a couple of bags. Could hear a tired sick cough from the dark, The coughs did not stop, the darkness and the car got out of the area looking for the next dumpster.

Tracy Hills Onam 2024 - Boat story

  Boat story. We had our first meeting at the Star Cross park. Banerji's drive for a grand and impressive backdrop infused the project from that meeting. He had come in with this blue print that he and Chris had drawn out. There was a touch of grandness and an "all in"ness in everything he said I had brought in decor items from the koottu onam group that had happened a few weeks back.  Banerji did not want to use it as is, we tried to see if the happy onam circle can be be formed using the koottu decor but that was not working out and that got dropped. Vipin Vishwanathan was initially not in the decor group. I knew that he was the right person for the job as I had seen the pooja room work that is in progress at the garage.  Vipin Das, a recent thaaram to join tracy hills had ideas about printing the maveli from walmart. Starting with that drawing, we estimated how big the vanji needs to be by looking at the cement squares on the park floor, and decided on two 8 X 12 sheet...

Dinner delay

 White spots on the dining table. Light through the patterned black doors of the oven. Timer sound. Three plates on the table.  "Kids .. time for dinner.". I call out.  Niya walks up with a beaming smile to the table in her navy blue long sleeves and jeans.  "Where is Kittu?" I ask her.  "I don't know. I thought he was downstairs" "Must be sleeping.. " I said to myself, crossed the wooden flooring on to the white carpeted steps calling .. "Kittoo.. ".  Varied inundations. Multiple calls. From the staircase landing to Niya's room. Look around the room. Back through the landing section.  Then I walk through the master bedroom .. "Kittoo.. ", then to the office room. Monitors, office chair, speakers. Then to Divya's office room.. white table, chair, periodic table, globe.  Hurried steps downstairs. Carpeted landing to wooden flooring to carpeted guest room.  Cozy looking grey sheets.
