Earth day special from Niya

The time of coronavirus will always be remembered by all the people living in this time as a hard, and devestating time. But there is a good part of this pandemic. My parents were doctors, so my sister Cloudy and I were away at our grandparents house in the U.S. We never went outside. We didn’t want our grandparents to be risked too! For now, we’re just playing a few video games and watching youtube. 
      “Hey Sky! Look at this video!” We were looking for videos that were interesting and informative, but still fun. “It’s about how the earth was suffering until the corona came around! Look!” It was an animated video of the earth and all the planets as human-like creatures and how before the corona, the earth was suffering gravely from the pollution we were giving her. When corona came, so did Quarentine and social distancing. That means less human activity, and less pollution! It also said that Corona was just a warning. “When we stay home, there’s soo much going well! Without our air pollution, the world is so much better!” Cloudy said. “Woah...It’s right!” I said. “ The earth is like a human! And all the creatures on earth are like little parasites! Us specifically! Everything we do affects the earth in some way or the other. We should be more careful.” 
       We decided that we’ll put up posters on our window to inform. “There! That should do it!” I said. We made a lot of posters to put up. “Well then, Let’s get to work!” We started putting up the posters everywhere. On windows, we even opened the windows and stuck the posters onto the wall outside our house for the sake of space! By the time we were done, it was bedtime. “Night Sky….” Cloudy said. “Good Night Cloudy…” I said. 
       In the morning, we woke up and went to the window. I couldn’t believe it! A person outside picking up trash in corona time?! No way! There were more people down the street picking up trash. And was that my friend Hazel!? We teased her on being OCD! Why is she out there!? “HI CLOUDY AND SKY!!!!” Hazel said. Or screamed. Yeah that would be better. “I SAW YOUR POSTERS!! I WANTED TO HELP!! YOU’RE RIGHT!!! THE CORONA IS A WARNING!!! WE SHOULD BE MORE CAREFUL!!! SO ME AND MY BROTHER GATHERED ALL THE PEOPLE WE KNEW AND DECIDED TO CLEAR THE STREET!!!” I couldn’t believe my ears! They were risking their lives and the lives of their loved ones to save the earth! I looked toward the other homes. They had posters too! My neighbor Misty was next door. She was putting up posters too! “We decided to make posters like you did to spread awareness. We’re nicknaming this street, Green Street. We have to do everything to save the earth!” she said. These people we’re trying to save the earth and we inspired them? Then I saw another sight. There was a line of people coming along the road with signs and posters, each one six feet apart. They were protesting to stop pollution. One of them stopped and explained. “We saw your posters while driving around for the sake of going outside. We decided to do something about the pollution too,”she said. Then she joined the protest again. There were more six-feet-apart miracles. People adding compost to random trees, more picking up trash, and there was even a lady who gave a speech! 
       There is a good part of corona. Me and Cloudy emphasized it and the video showed us the good side. The corona is earth’s distress call. We have to help our home. The earth gives us all the resources we need to survive. We have to help our planet. If we don’t, it’s not just us who’ll suffer, it’s all the creatures on earth, the moon, and earth itself will demolish. So please, help save the world and stop polluting our precious planet...for everyone’s sake. Remember the corona as a warning for all people to stop polluting our planet.

    Very good idea and excellent video.
    Actually i was a little confused
    Where will this corona bring us ,the world.Hearing the news, become absolutely hopeless.Ur vedio brings lights.

Tracy Hills Onam 2024 - Boat story

  Boat story. We had our first meeting at the Star Cross park. Banerji's drive for a grand and impressive backdrop infused the project from that meeting. He had come in with this blue print that he and Chris had drawn out. There was a touch of grandness and an "all in"ness in everything he said I had brought in decor items from the koottu onam group that had happened a few weeks back.  Banerji did not want to use it as is, we tried to see if the happy onam circle can be be formed using the koottu decor but that was not working out and that got dropped. Vipin Vishwanathan was initially not in the decor group. I knew that he was the right person for the job as I had seen the pooja room work that is in progress at the garage.  Vipin Das, a recent thaaram to join tracy hills had ideas about printing the maveli from walmart. Starting with that drawing, we estimated how big the vanji needs to be by looking at the cement squares on the park floor, and decided on two 8 X 12 sheet...

Dinner delay

 White spots on the dining table. Light through the patterned black doors of the oven. Timer sound. Three plates on the table.  "Kids .. time for dinner.". I call out.  Niya walks up with a beaming smile to the table in her navy blue long sleeves and jeans.  "Where is Kittu?" I ask her.  "I don't know. I thought he was downstairs" "Must be sleeping.. " I said to myself, crossed the wooden flooring on to the white carpeted steps calling .. "Kittoo.. ".  Varied inundations. Multiple calls. From the staircase landing to Niya's room. Look around the room. Back through the landing section.  Then I walk through the master bedroom .. "Kittoo.. ", then to the office room. Monitors, office chair, speakers. Then to Divya's office room.. white table, chair, periodic table, globe.  Hurried steps downstairs. Carpeted landing to wooden flooring to carpeted guest room.  Cozy looking grey sheets.
