Sudheer and family visit

Mystery Spot
One hour drive from our home in Fremont, as we exited the highway, we went through lush green winding slightly bumpy roads that reminded us of silent valley in Palaghat, Kerala.

At showtime, an energetic curly haired early twenties host took over and started presenting his scripted humorous presentation to our group of about twenty four people. Niya and Ponnu (Sudheer's daughter) were made to stand on two ends of a small flat one-feet plank and Niya gained significant height over Ponnu as she switched to one side over the other.

 The park is presenting this as an unknown mystery and we were not able to come up with any plausible explanations either. More similar interesting exhibits followed to a fulfilling unique experience.

The height difference between these kids become so much more pronounced based on whether the kid is inside the mystery circle or not. The theory is that you are significantly shorter when you are inside a small radius of circular ground passing between the kids.
Seventeen mile drive
Seventeen mile drive came on the way from LA to Fremont. So the plan was that we would drive up two hours and meet Sudheer and family at the seventeen mile drive.  We reached two hours behind schedule. While the rain did not help, the seventeen mile drive was very impressive with it's density of pristine picturesque sights. The palatial homes in the seventeen mile drive section were also striking.

Niya and Ponnu 
Niya and Ponnu had a great reunion time just as much as their parents did.  Niya is sleeping now to make up for all the sleep she had lost waking up early on alarm to spend time with Ponnu. They were not interested in any sight seeing - they just wanted to spend time together. Clear. Nice friendship.

Kittu and Aami
Kittu and Aami have both grown up a little further from when they last met. Kittu has calmed down over his time in LA (where we were neighbors) as per Sudheer and Rashmi. We also felt that he adjusted well together instead of being cranky.

We did not get into too much of sight seeing. Wednesday - seventeen mile drive on the way to our home and the mystery spot on  Thursday. That is all. Rest of the time were all conversations - movies, california fires, H1B life, common friends.Today is Friday morning - Sudheer and family left to Yosemite.  We really enjoyed having friends come over and stay with us and look forward to hosting again!

Tracy Hills Onam 2024 - Boat story

  Boat story. We had our first meeting at the Star Cross park. Banerji's drive for a grand and impressive backdrop infused the project from that meeting. He had come in with this blue print that he and Chris had drawn out. There was a touch of grandness and an "all in"ness in everything he said I had brought in decor items from the koottu onam group that had happened a few weeks back.  Banerji did not want to use it as is, we tried to see if the happy onam circle can be be formed using the koottu decor but that was not working out and that got dropped. Vipin Vishwanathan was initially not in the decor group. I knew that he was the right person for the job as I had seen the pooja room work that is in progress at the garage.  Vipin Das, a recent thaaram to join tracy hills had ideas about printing the maveli from walmart. Dinner delay

 White spots on the dining table. Light through the patterned black doors of the oven. Timer sound. Three plates on the table.  "Kids .. time for dinner.". I call out.  Niya walks up with a beaming smile to the table in her navy blue long sleeves and jeans.  "Where is Kittu?" I ask her.  "I don't know. I thought he was downstairs" "Must be sleeping.. " I said to myself, crossed the wooden flooring on to the white carpeted steps calling .. "Kittoo.. ".  Varied inundations. Multiple calls. From the staircase landing to Niya's room. Look around the room. Back through the landing section.  Then I walk through the master bedroom .. "Kittoo.. ", then to the office room. Monitors, office chair, speakers.
