We want more of you guys here
Today evening, as I was entering the elevator to take a quick break from work, met an elderly spectacled friendly american from the company on the opposite side of the floor. He invited me to get into the elevator first, and I offered him the elevator as it opened, but he re-insisted and got me into the elevator first.
Then he patted me on the shoulder kindly and asked me where I was from. I told him I was from India. He asked me which part and I said down south. He said he has been to Delhi, Mumbai and also Calcutta and that he really loves India.
He continued to be friendly and nice with me, kept patting me on the shoulder as an elder would and said that "we like you guys.. we want more of you guys here and love everything you guys are doing for this country".. I said " thank you for saying that.. " , recalling someone else having used that phrase in the past.
Just wanted to note the incident here as I felt the gesture was genuine..
