Finding Pravin Pravin and I were in the same class in school from 1st to 12th and then we did engineering in the same college but in different branches. While in school, he was my best friend. In college, we did not get to interact as much and from then on our lives were going separate ways.  As the engine light on my car came on on the wednesday before thanks giving, it looked like the car would not take a long trip at all. Nissan service center put in oil that was virtually emptied apparently due to a leak and engine arbitrarily jerked at least a couple of times enroute that I was not even sure I would make it to the service centre, much less a long weekend road trip.  Once that was fixed, had to fix the break pads which were at 1mm thickness and I have felt the breaks being pretty weak. Niya's one week vacation would have gone pretty eventless but for the Universal Studios trip we did today so that she has something to share with her friends when she gets back to school tomorrow,        Amusement parks and it's rides are not something I am terribly interested in.    One day a big fossil appeared on my backyard. It was a bug fossil. It was starting to crawl around. Just kidding - it was a kids' museum. I love kids' museum. But that is where the story is made. We are making it. One day a little girl was going to school. She thought what her school is like.. she thought her teacher was a zombie... it would turn the class books into cockroaches and take pencils and eat them! but when she entered the classroom she found out there were .. 12 students, 1 human teacher, 13 class books and 38 pencils. When she asked her teacher whether zombies were real and the teacher said yes and she said they extinct 100000,00000 years ago. The end. P.S. She saw 1 zombie.. herself at halloween.

As I was arriving at the Kochi international airport, I was curious to find out if the six years of convenience in USA had spoiled me and if I would find myself complaining about each and every shortcoming of India - the unruly traffic, the disorganization, the inefficiencies but instead just as I landed, the rhythm of the very earthy grounding song from Kammattipadam started beating so loudly in my heart that I could almost hear it echo through the Kochi airport. I was also apprehensive about whether I would feel out of place as someone coming back after such a long time and potentially not familiar with Kochi as it is now, but the rhythm gave me so much confidence and made me feel so much a part of the place and I felt really really good and I also felt strong admiration for Vinayakan who had crafted such a catchy number.
